Joseph Barry Cape Pot Still 10 year Brandy

Just like our five-year-old Joseph Barry, this well-aged 10-year-old is made from St Emillion and Colombar grapes from the Klein Karoo. The difference being that the 10-year-old early on developed an intriguingly different character in the cellar. Eventually this is the brandy that revealed itself as the one with the makings of a ten year old.

The golden amber colour makes an unforgettable first impression followed by the aromas of Christmas cake packed with cherries, citrus peel and vanilla as well as candyfloss. The peppery aroma imparted by the wood completes the complex combination. The flavours are very soft and echo the aromas carried through from the nose to form a well-balanced taste. Then there's the long after taste that will leave you searching for words to describe it before giving up and simply enjoying the next sip.
